Rachel Hippolyte – Chiropractor – DC, RN
Rachel graduated from the University of Glamorgan, UK in 2002 and emigrated to Perth In 2007 when she opened Central City Chiropractic. She has also been a registered nurse for 14 years. Rachel believes in holistic treatment and uses manual adjusting techniques along with dry needling acupuncture, activator and soft tissue techniques. She treats a wide range of spinal and extremity conditions and has a special interest in pregnancy and the newborn. Her main aim is to provided high standards of care for clients in warm friendly surrounding.
Laura Nicklette – Chiropractor – BSc (Chiro). Hons 2009
Laura graduated from Murdoch University in Western Australia. She has a keen interest in treating a variety of muscular, spinal and peripheral complaints, including sports injuries and repetitive stress injuries. Laura’s skills include Chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue therapy, dry needling and Graston technique.
In 2012 Laura began working with the team from our clinic treating the Perth Wildcats. She has an enthusiastic approach and is focused on helping you achieve optimum health.
Anita Hendri – Chiropractor – BSc (Chiro)
Anita is a graduate from Murdoch University. She is passionate about health and believes that chiropractic care along with the right lifestyle advice can help achieve optimum functioning in people’s daily lives in a natural, drug-free, non-invasive way. She treats a variety of spinal, peripheral and muscular conditions and has special interest in workplace health where injuries can occur from a variety of causes in unexpected ways. Anita uses manual and assisted chiropractic adjustments techniques along with soft tissue therapies. She is committed to providing her utmost care in a friendly environment that supports her patient’s needs and goals.
Chris graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2001 with a degree in Human Movement. Due to an extensive sporting history and interest in working with athletes he subsequently completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy in 2005 at Charles Sturt University, Albury, NSW. Following completion of his studies he relocated to Perth and spent 2 years working for the defence force at HMAS Stirling treating a variety of Navy personnel.His main interests are the treatment of postural and sports related musculoskeletal disorders. Since 2008 he has worked in private practice in Perth city and provided physiotherapy to a number of professional and community sporting teams. He is trained in the McKenzie method, dry needling and is a level 4 clinical Pilates instructor.
Sarah Tay – Physiotherapist – Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy)
Sarah graduated from Curtin University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She enjoys the daily challenges provided in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of all musculoskeletal injuries. She has a special interest in sports injuries and the management of back and neck pain arising from work related posture.
Sarah accepts and enjoys the clinical challenges provided in injury management and, in combination with her clinical expertise, uses this to educate her clients on the cause of their pain and dysfunction to assist them in achieving their goals. She has a keen devotion to professional development and ongoing learning that allow her to provide the most current treatment and education available.
Andrew has been a member of the CBD Wellness Centre team since April 2014. He is an experienced physiotherapist with a broad range of knowledge and techniques. Having graduated from the Notre Dame University School of Physiotherapy in 2013, Andrew strongly believes in the practice of evidence based physio. By combining specific manual therapy with individualized exercise programs his focus is to assist clients in reaching their goals as quickly as possible. He is committed to expanding his knowledge base in all areas of Physiotherapy and maintains a keen interest in the treatment and management of spinal disorders and sports related injuries.
Nicole Gunzburg – Massage Therapist
Nicole graduated from the Australian Institute of Fitness with a Diploma in Remedial Massage and Sports Training and is currently studying a Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sports Science) at ECU. She has had an array of experience including work with Ocean Ridge and Wanneroo Amateur Football Clubs, West Perth Football Club and the Perth Heat Women’s State Baseball team. Nicole has grown up in the sporting industry and has played a variety of sports herself, focusing on baseball and AFL. Through this, a passion has grown for sport specific injury prevention, injury management and rehabilitation. She tailors each treatment plan individually to ensure an increase in, not only sports performance, but everyday function.
Mariana Toro Cuartas – Massage Therapist
Mariana graduated from Central TAFE with a diploma in remedial massage in 2015 after completing her degree in physiotherapy in Colombia. Passionate about alternative medicine and other groundbreaking techniques, she has also obtained several certificates in fitness and age care and now boasts over 3 years work experience in various medical and well being institutes in Australia. As a highly professional and caring therapist, Mariana is intent on giving her patients the best care possible. She is also an avid reader and traveler who has fully embraced Australia’s multifaceted culture.
Scott Hoey – Remedial Massage Therapist
Scott completed his diploma of Remedial Massage at The Australian Institute of Fitness, Perth in 2015. He also holds a level 1 sports trainer certificate. Through his experience working with amateur sporting teams in the Australian Rules football, bodybuilding and trampolining fields he maintains a particular interest in the treatment and management of acute musculoskeletal sports injuries. Scott is passionate about not only keeping people participating in the sports they love, but also enjoying their time being active throughout their everyday life. As such he places a high emphasis on injury rehabilitation, to return clients to their optimal level of health, whilst also minimizing the risk of an injury reoccurring.
